Position available for application to the Spanish MINECO Postdoctoral Program

Eligibility criteria: •PhD defended between september 2009 and june 2014. •Candidates cannot be recipients of Ramón y Cajal or Juan de la Cierva fellowships from previous years, and cannot apply to the Ramón y Cajal Program this year. •Candidates can only apply for 1 research Institution. •Demonstrable experience in cellular and molecular biology and epigenetics is required. Experience on iPS cells, metabolism, massive sequencing, mice hematopoietic transplantation or mesenchymal stem cells is a plus. •A robust CV with 2-3 publications as first author in journals of impact factor >6 are required. •High scientific motivation, proactive attitude, communication skills and troubleshooting ability. The project will be performed at the Medicine School of the University of Barcelona / Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Laboratory (Pablo Menendez Lab. http://www.carrerasresearch.org/). The project will use different approaches (cell and molecular biology, genetics and epigenetics, animal models, cell reprogramming, drug testing) to gain insights into the developmental and molecular mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of pediatric leukemias.
