Postdoctoral Research Scientist: Stromal Cell Immunology (Ref: OTL-2014-01). Orbsen Therapeutics is seeking a talented and experienced Immunologist to study role of stromal cells in controlling innate and adaptive responses to inflammatory disease. A PhD degree in Immunology and experience in developing transgenic models of disease are essential. Experience in flow cytometry, cell culture, lymphocyte function assays, QPCR, protein assays and histology are also highly desirable. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full time EU FP7-funded, 3-year fixed-term position at Orbsen Therapeutics Ltd. in Galway, Ireland. Salary: EU €45,000-50,000 annually depending on skills and experience. The position is available to start February 17th 2014. Orbsen Therapeutics is Ireland's leading cell therapy company. We have identified, developed and patented a novel marker that enables best-in-class purification of therapeutic stromal cells from a variety of sources including bone marrow and umbilical cord. With 23 clinical, academic and commercial partners across Europe and the US, Orbsen is developing this cell therapy for the microvascular complications of diabetes (MCD), primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS).
