9-months position at MRC-Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge
A 9-months position is available in the lab of Dr Katja Röper at the
MRC-Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, ideally starting at the
beginning of April 2014.
>
> We study the cell biological basis of tissue morphogenesis, and in particular how
cell shape is controlled by the cytoskeleton and upstream regulators.
>
> The ideal candidate would have some experience with Drosophila and confocal
imaging. The project will involve fly husbandry, confocal time-lapse imaging and
image analysis. In particular, we want to analyse cell shape changes in 4D in
comparison to localisation of cytoskeletal components during the early
invagination of the salivary glands in the fly embryo.
>
> Candidates could be recent graduates with relevant undergraduate lab experience,
or someone who recently obtained a PhD and has to bridge time between
appointments.
