Fellow in Molecular Biology and statistical analysis of high throughput
biological data
You will work on an exciting project unraveling genome
wide questions regarding DNA replication in fission yeast. You will join an
interdisciplinary team studying the different factors that affect the DNA
replication process utilising state-of-the-art molecular biology techniques
including next generation sequencing and microarrays. Your will be expected to use a range of
experimental techniques and analyse your data using a variety of statistical
and bioinformatic methods in conjunction with modelling collaborators. The project focus will be on answering key
questions using hypothesis testing and model selection techniques.
You will have a PhD in molecular biology or genetics, and ideally be skilled in
analysis and integration of large diverse data sets. Previous experience with
high throughput sequencing analysis, microarrays and/or Bioinformatic analysis
will be an advantage. Experience of writing scientific papers/reports and good
communication skills with other disciplines are desirable. You will be working within a collaborative team of experimentalists and
theorists, so having an interest in the biological questions is expected.
Please
include a full CV and a covering letter with your application form explaining
