Postdoctoral researcher in IMDEA Food Institute. Madrid, SPAIN

A position in the IMDEA Food Research Program is offered with the specific
requirements according to Annex 1- Ref. PD2013/004, to collaborate in the
development of the following project:

Location              IMDEA Food Institute. Madrid, SPAIN

Job Category     Biomedical research/biochemistry/nutrition.

Education
PhD. In Biomedical Sciences such as(but not limited to) Biochemistry, Pharmacology,
Biotechnology.

Job Description
Colaboration in the development of the Project: “Desarrollo de ingredientes 
bioactivos  y  alimentos  para  la  salud  a  partir  de productos del olivar”.

Qualifications
Previous experience in molecular biology (cell culture and related techniques),
natural products, bioactive compounds, gene expression analysis, animal and human
trials.
Authorship in peer-reviewed publications
Fluency in English.
Demonstrate  independence,  pro-active  attitude,  professional  and excellent
communication skills both written and speaking. Demonstrate  strong  organizational 
skills,  including  the  ability  to prioritize workload.
Ability   to   work   independently   on   routine   assignments,   under
supervision on new assignments.
Ability to identify and resolve areas of concerns. Work with others as necessary.

Conditions.
Selected  candidate  will  be  given  a  temporary  full-time  contract  according 
to  standard regulations in Spain, after obtaining the mandatory authorizations.
Level and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience according to
the budget of the project.
The incorporation of the candidate to the IMDEA Food Institute is expected to be
immediately after the selection process.

Evaluation and selection of candidates.
Candidates will be selected based on the profiles described in Annex 1 as
appropriately outlined in their CV and project by a Selection Committee composed by
scientist staff of IMDEA Food. Ad-hoc experts could be participate in the process.
If necessary, personal interviews will be scheduled with all or some of the
pre-selected candidates.
