Se ofrece un contrato precdoctoral de 6 meses, seguramente prorrogables otros 12 meses, en el laboratorio de Microdominios de Membrana en Imunidad de la Unidad de Investigación del Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Princesa sita en el Hospital Santa Cristina, en el contexto del Proyecto de investigación.

Busco una persona motivada, con intención de realizar un trabajo de tesis doctoral. Se valorará el expediente de cara a aplicar a otras becas para la extensión de la financiación. También se valorará el haber realizado un máster en bioquímica o biomedicina.

Somos un grupo joven que hace ciencia básica y traslacional en un entorno sanitario. Nuestro grupo está interesado en el estudio de microdominios de membrana en la regulación de la respuesta inmuney progresión tumoral. Combinamos estudios de biología celular y bioquímica con técnicas avanzadas de microscopía.

Nuestro grupo está ubicado en un entorno amigable pero competitivo a nivel internacional. Nuestro hospital se encuentra cerca del Retiro y es accesible en bici desde el centro de Madrid.

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join the newly
established Chromatin & Genome Integrity group headed by Dr Ross
Chapman. Their research focuses on elucidating the nature of molecular
events propagated in chromatin upon DNA damage detection, and how these
events dictate the manner in which DNA double-strand breaks are repaired.
You will work with a newly developed system to identify molecular and
conformational changes to the chromatin at sites of DNA double-strand
breaks in mouse and human cells. You will have experience in the fields of
genome stability, chromatin biology or epigenetics research.
You will have a PhD in Biochemistry, Immunology, Cancer Biology or allied
discipline. You will need strong organisational skills and ability to
communicate effectively and efficiently to deliver results.
You will have proven research proficiency in molecular biology including
mammalian tissue culture, ChIP, and general cell-biology techniques
alongside a good publication record, with at least one first author article in a
leading refereed journal and presentations of papers at international
conferences. Working as part of a team, you will manage the day-to-day
running of a research project including assisting the work of junior researchers
and technicians, and managing resources effectively.
The position is funded by The Wellcome Trust & NDM and is fixed-term for up
to 2 years in the first instance.

A POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP is available in Pamela Stanley’s lab at the 
Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York to identify specific 
roles for glycans during *spermatogenesis.* The Stanley lab has shown 
that complex N-glycans are essential for spermatogenesis, and also 
identified a novel inhibitor of complex N-glycan synthesis that is 
proposed to regulate spermatogenesis. Mutant mice have been developed to 
identify specific roles for N-glycans and the functions of the novel 
inhibitor during spermatogenesis. Publications are linked to the

The Dimitroff Laboratory (http://dimitrofflab.bwh.harvard.edu/) has an opening for a post-doctoral fellowship position to study how lectin-binding carbohydrates are upregulated on malignant melanoma cells and whether these lectin-binding structures are functionally correlated with malignant behavior.  This individual will become part of an enthusiastic team approach to solving glyco-pathobiological problems in cancer development.  Candidates with knowledge of glycobiology and lectin biology in the context of tumor metastasis or of inflammation are preferred, but not necessary.  Having a strong background in the performance of flow cytometry, real-time RT-PCR, cell adhesion assays, Western blotting, gene transfection/transduction/silencing technologies is critical.  Necessary qualifications include an M.D., Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree and excellent communication/written English skills.

postdoctoral de la Alianza de 4 Universidades (A-4U,

investigación sobre la meiosis en ratones en el grupo de investigación de meiosis en
mamíferos, liderado por el Dr. Ignasi Roig de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona

El objetivo principal del grupo de investigación es estudiar mediante aproximaciones
genéticas los mecanismos que regulan la progresión de la profase meiótica en ratones
 e identificar las proteínas involucradas en dichos procesos. Estudios recientes de
nuestro grupo sugieren que la proteína kinasa CHK2 participa en la regulación de la
recombinación meiótica en mamíferos. El candidato tendrá que usar técnicas de
biología molecular, genética, histología y citología para describir la función de
dicha proteína en la meiosis de ratones.

Requerimientos:
1.-Haber obtenido el doctorado entre el 01/01/2010 y el 15/10/2013, preferiblemente
por la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) o la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid
(UC3M).
2.-Tener currículum competitivo (publicaciones como primer autor en revistas
indexadas en el primer cuartil del JCI).
3.-Experiència en biología celular y/o molecular
4.-Dominar inglés a nivel profesional.
5.-Tener experiencia en centros de investigación internacional.

Se ofrece:
1.-Contrato de un año prorrogable por una sola anualidad.
2.-Salario 25.383 euros brutos anuales.
