Postdoc position on Cell Division in Paris

Cell Biology Department UMR144 Postdoc position on Cell Division Institut Curie, Paris, France Team: “Cytoskeleton architecture and cell morphogenesis” Head: Anne Paoletti and Phong Tran (http://umr144.curie.fr/en/team/paoletti) Location: Cell Biology Department (CNRS-UMR144), Institut Curie, Paris, France Start date: Fall 2014 We seek to hire a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to investigate the spatial and temporal control of cell division in the fission yeast model system, using a combination of approaches including high throughput screens, molecular genetics and state to the art live cell imaging. The candidate should have a solid background in cell biology and imaging. A background in molecular biology and biochemistry would be a plus. The candidate should show strong interest in cell division, cytoskeleton, and cell cycle regulation. The project is to be developed in the Cell Biology Department of the Institut Curie in Paris, in the group of Anne Paoletti working on mitosis, cytokinesis and cell size control. The position has 2 years of initial funding. The Institut Curie is a world class multidisciplinary cancer research center combining research in cell and developmental biology, genetics, soft matter physics, organic and medicinal chemistry. It is located in the center of Paris (Latin Quarter) in a highly stimulating and dynamic environment, close to several other top research institutions (ENS, Collège de France, ESPCI Paris Tech…).
